We hosted a celebration of life for my mother here and we were so pleased! Pam made the planning, menu and wine selection easy. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We had a variety of apps, hot and cold, as well as desserts. Everything was beautifully presented and all of our guests enjoyed it. Thank you to Pam and her team for helping to make Mom’s Celebration of Life a success!
Wine Down has an incredible food menu and extensive selection of wines and cocktails. Highly recommend sampling the shared plates which are all delicious. Their whiskey sour is the best I've ever had! Love the sophisticated yet unpretentious atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Only great things to say about this unique venue!
Hands down the only place to go in the MOV if you want consistent, quality meals coupled with consistent, quality service. A perfect date night. A perfect work after-hours. And the owners are quite obviously invested in the success and reputation of their business. I cannot recommend enough.
We got there early and it was kind of slow. I ordered the steak and the main cook was not in yet so the owner brought us an extra app for free while we waited a few minutes. We had already ordered the pear bruschetta and it was fantastic. We had a wine flite and it was good as well. The manhattan was on point. By the time we finished the first app the second was coming. The main was right behind it as well. Service was great. The steak was cook below what I asked ( I asked med) and it was was med rare /rare but I’d rather it be under than over. It was not blue though. I have had many screw that up. Everything has good flavor. You really can’t go wrong.
Very nice atmosphere. Sat at the bar, Effie provided excellent service. Great wine tasting flights. They also have specialty cocktails. Salmon I ordered was delicious. Prices reflect quality food...all prepared to order. Definitely a great restaurant to enjoy a lovely evening!
Absolutely wonderful place Food was wonderful our mixologist Effie was absolutely outstanding! Great selection of wines cozy atmosphere highly recommended if you are in the Parkersburg West Virginia area! Wonderful time indeed.
Amazing wine selection and food! Had the Rose flight, bacon wrapped dates, summer salad, house chips with fondue, and pork sliders between the 2 of us. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender. Will be back, 5 stars!!! 2nd time around was just as wonderful!
I would give more stars if I could! This place was awesome! It's a little small, but really worth the trip. We sat outside and had a great time. The food was magnificant - the mushroom flatbread and the mushroom pasta, holy cow they were SO GOOD. I told our waitor, who was also awesome, that they needed to be served together. If you're a mushroom lover like us, I highly recommend getting them both! Then dipping the flatbread in the pasta. YUM! The espresso martini was also delicious! So good my boyfriend got a second! The wine was very good as well! So happy we checked this place out, we are already excited to return and get these dishes and the martini again!
